We are seeking an experienced and skilled Goods-in Manager to oversee the efficient receipt and storage of goods within our client's warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, transportation systems, managing people and continuous improvement methodologies.
Job Title: Goods In Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Location: Biggleswade
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8.30am - 5.30pm
Responsibilities:
- Manage the goods-in process, ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods
- Supervise a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational targets and maintain high standards
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Coordinate with 3PL providers for inbound logistics and transportation management
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely dispatch of goods
- Operate a forklift truck
- Monitor profit loss metrics related to goods-in activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a goods-in or warehouse management role
- Must have a Bendi / Flexi forklift license
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and shipping/receiving procedures
- Ability to lead a team effectively and drive performance improvements
