Are you looking for a Mechanical Site Manager position offering longevity and job security? then this opportunity will appeal to you. James Lewis are currently assisting a key client, who are a multi-dimensional Principal Contractor, in their search for an Mechanical Site Manager to join the team. Working across a range of project sectors which include data centres, education, commercial, healthcare and science & technology in and around London and the SE, they have a real focus on critical infrastructure. Their services start from design, through construction and fit out to the maintenance of the projects, effectively offering an end-to-end solution.
Due to a combination of both existing projects and a strong pipeline for 2024 and into 2025, they are looking to add to a number of their project teams, ideally with candidates who have previous experience on critical infrastructure or within live environments.
The Mechanical Site Manager duties include:
* Manage and oversee the on-site construction team, including Electrical and external Contractors
* Ensure Sub-contractors work to the programme
* Report on all Health and Safety issues and demonstrate H&S Leadership and on-site monitoring of all team members and Contractors
* QA inspections of installations
* Implement and monitor the project to ensure it is engineered to the highest standard
* Take ownership of Mechanical issues and liaise with the Client and Design consultants to obtain closure and clarifications where necessary
* Ensure clear reporting lines into Contracts Manager and Project Manager
* Review of ongoing works and highlight potential defects or risks
* Complete accurate materials take off in line with the project procurement process
* Compile project RAMS and ensure they are updated as the project progresses
* Ensure installations are in accordance with drawing specifications
