Job Role: As the Assistant Finance / Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing aspects of financial operations within the company's various entities providing solutions in the UK infrastructure sector. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, managing budgets, and providing strategic guidance to support decision-making processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to make a significant impact in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.

* Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.

* Coordinate with project managers and department heads to monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.

* Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to support project feasibility studies and investment decisions.

* Assist in the preparation of tender documents, project proposals, and financial models.

* Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and financial institutions.

* Support the Senior Finance Manager in strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and business expansion.

* Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.

* Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the infrastructure or rail sector.

* Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques.

* Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and ERP systems including Xero.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience in project accounting or cost management is a plus
