About the Position 
Athena is looking for a Senior Event Producer to join our Agency. This Senior Event Producer will work with a dynamic team to produce talks, present performances, curate conversations, screen some of the industry’s biggest films and shows, and design immersive experiences, all to connect, engage, and inspire.  As the Senior Event Producer, your primary function is to bring those moments to life. You should be equal parts nimble producer, creative visionary, effective project manager, and strategic thinker. The ideal person has experience working in live-event production. Detail-oriented, with an ability to work collaboratively with others and maintain a professional presence with executives daily. While their focus will be on supporting the Executive Producer - we see the role as an extension to the broader production group - supporting our team holistically from end to end in a highly collaborative environment.  
Requirements
What you’ll be responsible for: 
Producer 
Curate and produce a robust programming slate, such as talks with marquee speakers, screenings, employee talks, performances, and immersive experiences. 
Manage the production of ideas by working collaboratively with the Engagement Team and Technical Production to deliver exceptional programs, bringing the creative vision to life.  
Creative Facilitator 
Works with the Executive Producer to plan and lead cross-department creative programming sessions for the department. 
Guides department team through pitch meetings, concept development, scheduling, and production process.  
Develops creative concepts and pitch sheets for the Executive Producer and, once approved, brings them to life in the form of unique and engaging experiences.   
Programming Partnerships 
Develops collaborative programming opportunities with internal and external programming partners; locally, nationally, and globally.  
Researches and pursues partnership opportunities with organizations, media outlets, and corporate entities. 
Works with the Engagement Manager to develop outreach strategy, stakeholder management, and partnership approval process.  
Pre + Post-Production 
Production Schedule: manages the scheduling slate of programs throughout the year, production schedules, and project timelines. 
Budget Management: creates and manages budgets of varying scales in order to prioritize Executive Producer objectives, with an eye for detail and a proactive ability to be able to flag anything outside of that budget. 
Personnel / Vendor Management: manages the Production Coordinator and proactively builds project teams with a mix of full-time employees, freelancers, designers, PAs, and production outfits. Proven experience training, developing, and guiding the skill set of junior production team members. 
Content Development: manage content development, organization, and delivery to the Production Team. ROS, side-by-side, teleprompter remarks, and other necessary production support documents. Supports the Director of Production with cue-to-cue and rehearsals and guides the content.  
Content Distribution: develop and oversee distribution strategy (internal and external), drives viewership and engagement. 
The skills and experience you should have: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
12+ years of demonstrated production experience in event production from development to execution, ideally with direct experience producing live events, performances, and/or experiential activations.  
Experience in building content distribution strategy and viewership engagement is a bonus. 
Proven capability of managing detailed projects from conception through to delivery and evaluation.
Candidate must be a team player and possess a managerial prowess that extends beyond the immediate production team to both external producing partners as well as the internal corporate hierarchy. 
Demonstrable experience working on simultaneous and multiple projects. 
Resourceful and solutions-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can anticipate and overcome obstacles while effectively communicating challenges to the broader team. 
Proven organizational skills, high attention to detail, and excellent communication + presentation skills. 
Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to handle a high-volume workload. 
Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects and workflows.  
Ability to work effectively in both a quick-turn newsroom-like atmosphere as well as part of longer-range produced projects. 
Experience developing budgets of various sizes, handling vendor, venue, and labor contracts + negotiations, and supervising a detailed reconciliation process. 
Working knowledge of the East Coast production landscape and willingness + excitement to continue to grow that network. 
Candidates should be positive team players who genuinely enjoy the collaborative process, welcome the everyday challenges that arise from the creative process, are committed to the ever-shifting landscape of experiential events, and are motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, trend-aware, and hard-working, with the ability to switch gears on the fly.

Expert in Adobe Workfront or equivalent tools. 
Solid grammar, editing, and proofreading capabilities. 
Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively. 
Know what’s trending, what’s great work and the difference between the two. 
Strong presentation and verbal communication skills. 
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
Incredibly organized with outstanding attention to detail. 
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
