Logical Personnel Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading valve and rotating equipment engineering company.
We are recruiting for a Procurement Manager
Purpose of role:
Responsible for the management, development and service delivery of the procurement activities for UK Valve Business.
The requirements to fill this position are as below:
* Supplier and Sub Contractor Performance Management
* Manage internal and external contract activities to ensure the business meets its strict standards and procedures
* Identify, source and procure spare parts for customers daily
* Negotiate Contracts with suppliers and OEMs
* Assist in Supplier Audits in association with Site Manager
* Shutdown planning and procurement of spare parts for Wilton, Grangemouth and Grimsby
* Responsible for the approval of requisitions and Purchase orders
* Liaise with customer for effective planning of spare parts for Valves
* Manage the Approved Supplier & Subcontractor Process to ensure compliance
* Visit Suppliers/Manufacturers to discuss performance and carry out audits
* Expedite and progress orders and compile a weekly report for each Workshop
* Liaise with HSEQ Manager for approval of suppliers and subcontractors
* Actively promote the Core Values within all work-based activities
* Network with the supply chain to identify new products and develop relationships
* Must have good working knowledge of procurement best practice
* Preferable experience in Valve related products
