Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a CNC Mill/turn engineer to join our clients dynamic team. The candidate should possess prior experience in setting and operating mill/turn machines including 5 axis in a production environment.

While it would be beneficial to have EdgeCAM experience, it is not a mandatory requirement. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to contribute to our team's growth.

Role will include;

* Programming, setting and running our:

* DMG Mori NZX 2000 (twin spindle twin turret mill-turn machine)

* DMG Mori CTX beta 1250 TC (5 Axis mill turn machine with a robot loading arm)

* Adjusting existing CNC programs to ensure accuracy and optimise efficiency

* Programming of new jobs on and offline

* Maintaining a level of self-inspection throughout a batch

* Machining parts to tight tolerances with precision and accuracy

* Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a smooth workflow

* Assisting the production staff in any other tasks that may be required to maintain production efficiency

It is also essential that the applicant is happy to work on different machines depending on where they are required.

What we are looking for:

* Hands-on experience operating CNC mill/turn machines, preferably with 5 axis experience.

* Understanding of machining principles, CNC machining techniques, and tool selection

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve machining issues.

* Keen attention to detail and accuracy to produce high-quality components meeting tight tolerances.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.

* Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, including raw materials and machined components.

* Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, take initiatives and grow.

* Be open to new challenges and willing to take on additional responsibilities.

28What we offer

* Competitive rate of pay; depending on experience. ( £14 - £21 per hour )

* Opportunities for overtime; our standard work week is 39 hours; overtime rate is 1.5x.

* The normal working hours are divided into two slots (staff can choose either):

* 08:00 am – 17:00 pm Monday to Thursday & 08:00 am – 13:00 pm Friday

* 07:30 am – 16:30 pm Monday to Thursday & 07:30 am – 12:30 pm Friday

* Starting 22 days holiday with an extra day each year to a maximum of 25 days, plus Bank Holidays.

* We offer a company’s Sick Pay Scheme.

* Attendance bonus; 10 hours @ basic rate if no unauthorised absence is taken in every 3 months.
