Senior Health and Safety Advisor required to join a current HSEQ team in order to ensure the workforce can carry out their task in a safe and controlled way. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with determination and tenacity to join this well established and ever growing business. Ideally, you will have a minimum of three years of health and safety experience within a similar industry, but candidates who can demonstrate capability in other industries are encouraged to apply.
Working alongside the HSEQ Director, H&S Advisor, Environmental Compliance Officer and Transport Managers, you will help to ensure compliance with relevant company and legislative requirements.
You will be
* Supporting the HSEQ Director to implement and roll out safety training and awareness
* Maintaining the database of all accidents and near misses
* The review and production of risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Safety auditing of operational sites, both general and focused
* Assisting in internal and external audits for the company ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System
* Conducting Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) to identify where additional or refresher training is required for those in operational roles, such as mobile plant competencies
* Providing support to incident investigations to identify root causes and preventative actions
* The production and delivery of toolbox talks, safety bulletins and safety alerts
* Reviewing Display Screen Equipment assessments carried out on DSE users
* Assessment of equipment in line with PUWER
* Additional duties as required by the department and company
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A recognised H&S qualification, such as NEBOSH National General Certificate, is highly desirable. Consideration will be given for exceptional candidates who do not hold such a qualification.
An understanding and background in high-risk industries would be a distinct advantage.
* The role will involve travel between company sites and so a full and valid driving license will be required; a company car or suitable car allowance will be provided
In return you can expect a starting salary of £35,000 - £40,000pa with normal working will be between 08:30 - 17:00, flexibility to attend work outside of these hours may be necessary, including early starts in line with business requirements
