Connex Education are working with a Primary School in Moston, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant, to work at their school on a full-time basis.

About the School

This is an Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Moston, renowned in the community for their  warm, supportive ethos. This is a large, four-form entry school, with a higher-than-average number of students with English as an Additional Language. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be providing 1:1 support within a Year 3 class. All staff at this school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment and centre the children at the heart of everything they do. They are seeking a TA who is resilient, hard working and passionate, with a genuine desire to make a difference to pupils' lives through supporting them in their education.

Assignment Details

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to provide one-to-one support for a child in Year 3, who has complex needs. You will have access to support and training from school, as well as impressive school resources. In-line with the child's EHCP, you'll play a pivotal role in removing the students' barriers to learning and supporting them to achieve their full potential. You will be working closely with the SENDCo and outside agencies to enable the student to progress through the curriculum, so strong communication skills will be essential to the role. This role will commence ASAP and will last for the remainder of the academic year (with the potential to be extended or become permanent for the right member of staff).

Person Specification

Holds experience with children that have Special Educational Needs either within the classroom or a similar setting
Hold a valid Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Be willing to provide personal care if needed
Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
