Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths looking for a part-time role in a supportive and dynamic school environment? GSL Education is working with an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School in York to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our team on a part-time basis, starting immediately and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Role Overview:

As a part-time Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths education to students across Years 7 to 10. You will work three days per week, engaging and inspiring students to achieve their best in Mathematics. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about Maths and committed to making a positive impact on students' educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for Maths.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Strong subject knowledge in Maths and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to work part-time and effectively manage time.
A clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years, including your current/most recent employer.
