Technical Support Specialist
Location: Near York

Salary: Depending on experience

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Technical Support Specialist. A successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support solutions to end users, engineering, part-sales team, production, and other internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for in-service systems, ensuring timely responses to technical support inquiries.

Recreate customer reported issues in-house to assist in problem resolution.

Participate in the "on-call" out-of-hours rota system.

Provide technical input during the quoting and tendering phase to understand customer requirements.

Log and review all customer and technical support inquiries

Lead corrective action activities and document results.

Provide technical insight into future product development.

Conduct system audits and follow-up visits to vessels and systems to obtain customer feedback.

Perform work off site as necessary.

A successful candidate will have:

Education or qualification ONC/OND, HNC/HND, or BSc preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams.

Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical control systems.

Excellent literacy and phone skills.

Logical approach to fault finding under pressure.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Previous experience in a hands-on tools-based role.

Experience in a customer-facing role.
