The Generali Operations Service Platform (GOSP) supports the Generali Group in optimizing its digital services, its service quality and the creation of synergies. GOSP uses common technology platforms for the Group. As a joint venture partner, Accenture provides expertise to support transformation, innovation and scaling. GOSP develops solutions for digitalization and the introduction of a cloud-centric model. GOSP includes IT infrastructure, procurement, and security operations, among others.

Our international team is looking for an Enterprise Architect (m/f/d) in the Architecture, Strategy and Innovation team of GOSP (Generali Operations Service Platform) and will work in the below domains with a cross vision between traditional on-prem and cloud technologies.

Architecture / Solution Design supporting the tasks:

  • Coordination of Technical Analysis in support of Technical Departments
  • Feasibility Study to check the feasibility and present it to non-technical stakeholders
  • High Level Design in the role of Senior Architect
  • Low Level Design in the role of providing consultancy to Subject Matter Experts according to architecture guidelines

Architecture / Governance:

  • Cloud Initiative Evaluation in support of Cloud Solution Architects for hybrid architectures
  • Demand and Project Portfolio processes to guarantee defined levels of quality for the new customer demands and internal projects
  • Technology Standardization in defining and pushing the adoption of technology standards
  • Support providing experienced opinions in the process of acquiring / renewing technologies

Advisory / Steering supporting the activities:

  • Technology Spyglass to create and present brochures, whitepapers, workshops, demos and lectures related to (new) technologies
  • Technology Lobby to advise C-Level executives on technology choices

Advisory / Tools developing and managing the information tools:

  • Technology Radar maintenance and improvement to track interesting new technologies
  • Technology Maps to provide business views of the implemented technologies

Advisory / Community:

  • Architecture Community support with enthusiasm and new ideas
  • Technology Forums for discussing with GOSP customers about trend technologies and future directions

Transversal to the above domains, the candidate will:

  • Contribute to define and maintain a set of Smart Methodologies intended to support the most frequent tasks and activities
  • Commit to continuously improve her / his skills to stay up-to-date with technology evolution
Profile

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work in a complex environment with these characteristics: more than 1,000 people in the company, international environment, international group that federates dozens of distinct business units
  • Ability to work in an international team with different cultures using English language for every activity
  • Ability to work in a most digital workplace with few in person interactions
  • Predisposition to flexible ways of working with frequent priority changes
  • Nice to have: presentation skills to prepare and present topics in front of (non-domain) people, including Top Management

Technical skills:

  • Must have: strong capabilities in analyzing complicated problems and in extracting concise but complete synthesis
  • Must have: cloud architecture knowledge on AWS and Azure and sounding understanding of the SaaS ecosystem
  • Should have: full understanding of the intricacies related to hybrid (on-prem / cloud) architectures
  • Should have: business continuity architecture knowledge and culture, both for cloud and on-premises systems
  • Should have: understanding of on-premises technologies and architectures like software defined compute, software defined network, software defined storage
  • Should have: design skills to create architecture diagrams
  • Nice to have: security architecture knowledge

Language requirements (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages):

  • Fully proficient in German: C2 level
  • Fluent in written and oral English: at least B2 certified level, C1 preferred
  • Preferably intermediate level (B1) of at least one of the following languages in order of preference: Italian, French, Czech, Hungarian
