What are we looking for?
BetterSleep is seeking a Senior Product Manager with experience and passion for building successful consumer products. This individual will partner with our Content organization to provide strategic guidance on content production and experience and define a user-centric roadmap that will connect our community with content they love. You will own the product strategy, its roadmap and end-to-end implementation.
As part of the Core Product Experience and Content team, you will help listeners connect with compelling content they can fall in love with, and introduce them to new content — titles, narrators, topics, and genres they would not have found otherwise. As part of this team, you will make it fun and easy for listeners to explore content by turning their interests into pathways for personalized discovery and deeper listening engagement. Your mission will be to build features that delight every BetterSleep listener by making the process of finding content intuitive and effortless, and keeping our users coming back for more.
Responsibilities
Product Roadmap and Execution: Develop a strategy and execute a product roadmap that helps listeners discover and consume the most relevant and personalized content for their needs, increasing engagement and retention with clearly defined and well measured goals that impact our business
Data-Informed Decision Making: Establish and track KPIs, analyze user behavior behind content consumption and discovery, and combine user feedback and data insights to inform product decisions
Experimentation: Execute A/B tests to determine which content types, titles, and merchandising are most effective in driving user engagement, retention, and delight
Content Strategy: Work closely with the content production team to define and refine our content strategy. Provide strategic guidance on content topics, formats, and distribution channels based on market research, user feedback, and performance metrics.
Innovation and Education: Drive understanding across BetterSleep of how and where improvements in discovery and listening experience can elevate the usability, novelty, and comprehensiveness of our holistic content offering
Thought Leadership: Frame and lead discussions with key business and technical stakeholders to assess opportunities, make data-informed recommendations, and build alignment ahead of important investment decisions
Collaboration: Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, design, marketing, and other partner teams to create content experiences that are meaningful and delightful to consumers
Competitive Intelligence: Conduct regular audience and market analysis to maintain a competitive understanding of industry trends
Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree combined with 6-8 years of experience in a product role at a B2C company with a track record of success in owning the whole product lifecycle from ideation, vision, requirements, roadmap, specifications to release, analysis, and iteration
Experience running and analyzing A/B tests with a proven ability to execute and deliver results on a quick cadence while not sacrificing on product quality
Deep understanding of unit/business economics and proven ability to balance business and technical considerations for product decisions
Ability to make quick and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
Super analytical: proven experience in using data and relevant tools for driving critical business outcomes
High EQ: you come with an informed POV but are open to changing your mind based on new information and business/team needs
Technical: Strong understanding of how applications are built, and ability to participate in technical decisions
Excellent organizational and leadership skills, strong attention to detail, able to work independently
Bonus points if you have worked with digital audio or consumer subscription businesses, or if you have a background in content recommendation systems powered by machine learning

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, and extensive benefits. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable to all full-time positions.
