Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a leading, well-known groundworks contractor based in the East Midlands. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee a large residential groundworks project, 500+ units.

Duties for the Senior Quantity Surveyor will include but not be limited to the following:

Complete monthly applications for payment accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports in line with valuation processes.
Compile monthly forecasts with the production team to ensure the successful commercial performance
Control costs in accordance with budget
Procure subcontractor and supplier packages, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor accounts.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
Ensure the project team has all of the latest information including drawings and details of tender allowances.
Maintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices and correspondence.
Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the clientExperience Required:

Experience in residential or groundworks
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
Proficiency in construction software
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently, manage a large project, and meet deadlines
Professional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is preferred
