Subject Lead of English

Strategy Education are delighted to be supporting an Academy in Suffolk who are looking for a Subject Lead of English to join their team for the new academic year.

The successful candidate will have a relevant undergraduate degree and will be subject to a variety of checks including, eligibility to work in the UK an enhanced DBS and full references including one from your most recent teaching placement.

You will be responsible for high quality leadership of the English department, and you will be expected to lead on the planning, delivering and assessment of high-quality English throughout the school as well as on the development of innovative thinking with regards to the curriculum, teaching and learning.

You will hold responsibility for overseeing and monitoring the assessment, evaluation and mentoring of the student’s progress. You will be accountable for the attainment of students as well as the professional development of staff.

The suitable candidate will be an exceptional role model and will be able to lead as well as work effectively within a team. You will have the relevant qualifications and experience of leading, coordinating and monitoring across a department as well as having proven success of teaching across the age and ability range of students.

The contract is permanent, you will be employed directly by the school and paid in line with Teachers Pay and Conditions.
