Job Opportunity: Finance Assistant

The Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. You will perform a wide range of duties across the Finance Department, including planning, problem-solving, and ensuring operations are in line with FCA and Company Group guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately record payments received from clients and brokers for individual company accounts through various means, including bank transfers and finance providers.

* Issue refunds to clients in compliance with regulations and company processes.

* Reconcile and make payments of insurer statements, analyze data, and liaise with insurers and brokers to resolve queries.

* Run company debt reports and collaborate with wider teams to ensure smooth collection of client monies.

* Monitor debt percentages to ensure they remain within acceptable thresholds, providing support to employees to help manage customer payments.

* Identify and rectify debiting and payment errors, ensuring anomalies are reviewed and actioned by the relevant party.

* Maintain and update the system accurately, ensuring general housekeeping.

* Identify and propose solutions for business improvements and issues that arise.

* Build mutually beneficial networks both internal and external to support the company group’s continuous growth and progress.

* Prepare and analyze reports for distribution throughout the business.

* Perform additional duties as allocated by the Finance Manager.

Skills Needed to Succeed as a Finance Assistant:

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Attention to detail.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft, specifically Excel.

* Self-motivation, drive, and enthusiasm.

* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits:

* £24,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependent on your previous experience and qualifications.
