Are you a numbers enthusiast with a passion for manufacturing and a sharp eye for financial details? A leading company is on the lookout for a Factory Financial Controller to be an integral part of their finance team.

This exciting position offers a unique blend of financial acumen and strategic planning, ensuring seamless financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the business. Based from their Suffolk site, for the first 12 months there will be regular (sometimes weekly) travel to one of their other sites in the North West of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Generate and present monthly production reports, including detailed analyses of price variances, working capital, hours, overtime provisions, and stock adjustments.
Budget Management: Lead the annual preparation of standard costings and develop budgets based on revenue drivers, expected overheads, and planned investments.
Forecasting: Evaluate headcount to forecast production hours and associated costs, including maintenance and other overheads.
Audit Support: Assist in annual statutory financial audits and quality audits within the production team to ensure accuracy of inventory and costings.
Internal Controls: Aid in stock takes and adjustments, maintaining compliance with statutory and group standards.
Capital Investment Planning: Work alongside the Director to plan and manage capital investments, cost-saving initiatives, and ESG projects.
Collaboration: Partner with the shared service centre during month-end close to ensure timely financials, accurate forecasts, and clear analyses.
Continuous Improvement: Embrace a continuous improvement mindset to refine existing processes and suggest developmental solutions. Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Hold a CIMA or equivalent qualification.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, ERP systems, cost accounting, and project management.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems.
