Warehouse Operative - Peterborough- Temporary to Permanent

Brook Street have the pleasure of working with our well-established client based in Peterborough who are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their dynamic team on an ongoing temporary contract with the view to eventually go permanent. Key Responsibilities:

Product Handling: Safely handle and transport high-quality products using pallet trucks and other equipment.

Order Fulfilment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Inventory Management: Use hand scanners to track and manage inventory, ensuring precise and up-to-date records.

Receiving and Processing: Unload and process incoming shipments, inspecting products for quality and accuracy.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure they meet company standards before shipment.

Equipment Operation: Operate pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, particularly with handling high-quality products, is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand scanners and inventory management systems.

Equipment Handling: Experience operating pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

Benefits:

£12.31 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Monday to Friday 8 hour shift rotating between the hours of 6am-9:30pm

Overtime available pay up to double time depending on shift

X2 15-minute breaks paid and 30 min unpaid lunch
