Maintenance Engineer Based in Peterborough, Working Double days (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm), Earning £44,000

Here at ATA, we are excited to be bringing you an opportunity working for a nationally recognised manufacturer working as a maintenance engineer at their well-established site based in the Peterborough area.

Our client has been operating for over 40 years and during this time they have cultivated a fantastic reputation within manufacturing for their products being high quality while also offering a great service. Due to great quality and services, this has allowed our client to reinvest into its sites with newer machinery, allowing engineers to be exposed to high tech state of the art machinery. Therefore, this has in turn allowed engineers to develop their skillset on brand new machinery, while studying further qualifications through our client.

Therefore, this is a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer looking for his next challenge, as it would allow maintenance engineers to develop both their skillset on newer machinery, while also having the opportunity to progress in the business both technically and managerially.

The Role

During your time as the maintenance engineer on site, you will be expected to work on both the mechanical or electrical elements of the machinery. Therefore, as the maintenance engineer onsite, you will be responsible for:

Completing ppm’s,
Reacting to breakdowns, and completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site.
Hands on the work will be a mix of electrical and mechanical work.
You will need to be confident fault finding using a Multimeter.
Working on 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, packaging lines, and bespoke machinery specific to this site.
Fault finding on automated machinery, this would be through various methods, including through PLCs.
The Engineer

To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer opportunity, you should have:

Experience working within a factory environment.
Must have a Level 3 Engineering Qualification
Must have experience with Fault Finding.
