Court of Protection Solicitor opportunity with one of the UK's leading Court of Protection Departments.

The Firm

Founded over 50 years ago, our client is viewed as a multi-specialist leading law firm based in London but with a national reputation. The firm boasts a very strong Court of Protection Department that is highly ranked in the legal directories; with partners recognised as 'Leading Individuals'.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a dedicated Court of Protection Solicitor to join their market-leading department, specialising in providing Court of Protection Deputyship support for clients who experience complex mental capacity issues.

The caseload will include the management of property and financial affairs for vulnerable clients including those who have suffered brain and spinal injury.

The responsibility of this role involves:

The purchase of properties and adapting them for the needs of the firm's disabled clients
Creating and monitoring clients' budgets to ensure fund sustainability
Liaising with case managers, doctors, therapists, care teams, surveyors, architects and other specialists
Attend clients at hospitals, in their home and care/nursing homes
Make regular payments to clients and keep accurate schedules of these payments
Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate to paralegals and trainees
Work as a part of a team under the supervision of a Partner of the firm

Required Experience

Court of Protection Solicitor with NQ-3 years' PQE
Must have experience of handling Court of Protection cases
Able to work to tight deadlines and in a high paced environment
Organised and able to prioritise
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with numbers
