A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Special Educational Needs LSA in a college based in the Liverpool area to support the students with day-to-day learning. This school is apart of the Greenbank charity and is recognised on their supportive environment. It is a small setting of only 300 students with a range of abilities, many of their students have special educational needs and disabilities or are from other disadvantaged groups - they strive for the inclusivity and their ability to offer exceptional opportunitities. 

The post requires a talented Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who can take the lead in supporting the children’s personal targets and promoting positive behaviour.

Applicants must have either least NQV level 2 qualified or have a minimum of 6 months experience working with young children with SEND. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

The role will include:

Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
Working with students who require specialist support
Leading group work
Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
