Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Customs Co-ordinator in Liverpool.

Who We Are

We are an employee-owned trust forwarder based in Liverpool. We have an EDI connected global network, contractual arrangements with carriers and operate a peerless own rail and final mile delivery solution. In addition, we have an in-house customs team and coders and developers that manage our technology platform.

The Customs team consists of 10 individuals dealing with Import & Export declaration instructions, received both manually and electronically.

We are a close-knit group who work together and look out for one another, and this is mirrored by the bonds we build with our customers.

We operate in a niche space, nothing we do is transactional, and Warrant is an exciting place to be.

Person we are looking for

We are looking for a Customs Co-ordinator to join a vibrant & hardworking team providing timely Customs solutions to our customers.

Team Structure

The successful candidate will join a team of 8 co-ordinators, reporting to the team supervisor and head of department. After training you will be looking after several specific customer accounts, as well as shared tasks on a team rota. There are shift patterns including weekend and Bank Holiday cover that are shared between the team members.

Primary responsibilities and duties

This role is within the Customs team, who are responsible for import and export customs declarations as well as invoicing. Your duties would include:

* Ensure all operational Customs Responsibilities for the Company are compliant and in line with business and customer demand

* Ensure all customer Customs requirements are completed and processed on-time.

* Interact with other departments within Warrant Group regarding Customs topics.

* Ensure all reporting is updated weekly to meet compliance and maintain excellent departmental performance.

Skills base

Previous experience in all areas of Import and Export Customs Procedures

* Awareness of HMRC Customs process and tariff

Salary

£30 000 per annum
