We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager to join our team, responsible for the revenue and growth of their products and services, as we look to support the business strategy to focus on key products into target market segments. This role offers hybrid (remote/office mix) working and can be based from our offices in Sweden (Malmo), Manchester or Whitley (UK).

What will you be doing in this role?

As a Product Manager (for Group Living Systems) at Tunstall, you will be an integral part of the Product Management team and will drive the definition of our next generation Group Living system which is a combination of HW/embedded components and software functionality. The intent is to unify several existing GL systems into a single one that is future-proof and that enables both greenfield installations and seamless migration away from pre-existing legacy systems.

Bridging the gap between commercial strategy and technical execution, this role will be responsible for the delivery of solutions in accordance with the Product vision. The role will break down market requirements to sellable features and will collaborate effectively with colleagues in the UX team and the engineering teams when designing features. The main task is to create a harmonious synergy between software features and user experience and to give guidance during the process of breaking down sellable features to technical features and during user journey creation.

The Product Manager is responsible for:

Technology:

Staying up to date on emerging technologies related to Tunstall’s business.
Assisting the Product Director on analysing emerging software products & companies to measure potential value/threat.
Under direction of the Product Director, input into decisions and detail investigations into technology, which would impact the customer.
Making recommendations for new technologies to invest in across Tunstall’s segments based on input from Group Technology and Group Innovation.
User Experience:

Collaborate with Architects to ensure the product's user experience aligns with customer needs and expectations. Provide insights into technical feasibility while maintaining focus on user-centric design.
New Product Introduction

Working with Product Segment Directors to ensure that market requirements are refined into marketable features (‘epics’) and that they are detailed to the right level for Group Technology including acceptance criteria.
Actively participate in product development with delivery teams to ensure that the solution meets the customer needs, working closely with our project management teams to ensure timely commercial delivery.
Lifecycle Management:

Analysing platform (non-functional) and usability metrics and creating recommended action plans for improvements, which will inform the product roadmap.
Proactively suggesting features or enhancements that align with business objectives and service revenues.
Executing the end-of-life product cycle, initiated by the Product Director and Health & Care Strategy team.
Tender Support:

Defining features required by the engineering teams in order to provide adequate estimations for new feature work.Leadership:

Fostering a collaborative environment between peers to drive product excellence.
Other:

Undertaking any additional responsibilities that the Product Director sees fit to meet the needs of TTG Product.
The Ideal candidate:

You will have proven experience in product management of tech products, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to influence effectively. You will be an adaptable, proactive, team player, used to leading a team and taking responsibility for your products with a track record of delivering results. To be successful in this role you will be highly customer focused, performance driven and able to work in an international set up.

This role will require some travel, including international travel.

Key skills and experience:

Essential:

A related degree course (Engineering, Business, Science, Marketing) or Product Management experience in a hardware environment.

Experience of managing the complexities of IoT architectures, including edge computing, data processing, and security considerations.

Experience of IoT eco systems including hub/sensor integration, connectivity protocols (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee), and power management.

Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts relevant to IoT applications.

Influencing skills and ability to persuade both internally and externally (effective presentations at all levels, negotiation)

Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of thriving in a team environment.

Ability to interact with customers at differing levels.

Ability to work across cultures – experience of multi-cultural and multi-national project teams.

Strong computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Competencies:

Working knowledge of scaled Agile (SAFe®).

Demonstrated experience in roadmap development, feature prioritisation and backlog management.

Strong market analysis skills, including the ability to identify and articulate market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Experience in conducting market research, gathering customer feedback, and translating insights into actionable product strategies.

Understanding of cloud-based services and app development.

An advanced technical degree.

A strong understanding of integrating hardware and software platform services.

Experience working as an Agile Product Owner in a SCRUM team.
