As an English Teacher at our Warrington Secondary Schools, you will have the opportunity to foster a love for the English language and literature in students from various backgrounds and abilities. You will play a crucial role in helping them develop their communication, critical thinking, and analytically skills, preparing them for future success across Key Stages 3,4 & 5. This post is to start on the 3rd of June for a short term cover until July 2024

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons that align with the national curriculum.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to both students and parents.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching resources and strategies.
Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and parent-teacher meetings as required.Qualifications:

PGCE in English or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to inspire and motivate students.Desirable Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level.
Familiarity with assessment techniques and educational technology.
