The post holder will support a caseload of Younger People; undertaking assessments, developing person centred recovery plans & running evidence-based substance misuse interventions in groups & on a 1:2:1 basis. You will deliver interventions both face to face & via telephone / video technology where appropriate. You will also spend time out & about, with the Youth Offending Team working alongside Schools, Police, Children’s Homes and Social Services, going into Schools & Colleges across the borough providing presentations to groups to change lives.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of providing support and guidance to individuals grappling with substance misuse issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each service user. Your commitment will foster hope and encourage positive life changes, contributing to the charity's mission of transforming lives.

Candidates must possess a robust understanding of the challenges faced by those affected by substance misuse. A relevant qualification in health, social care, or counselling is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of working in similar environments. Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team are essential.Experience in conducting assessments, facilitating group work, and providing one-to-one support is expected. Additionally, a sound knowledge of safeguarding practices, confidentiality, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries is paramount.
