We are currently seeking a skilled vehicle technician / MOT Tester to join our team In Basingstoke
This is a Monday - Friday role 8am - 6pm. or Tuesday - Saturday giving 2 days off together each week. Salary upto £36,000 plus bonus. Salary rising to £38000 after 3 month probation period.
As a vehicle technician / MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections and ensuring that they meet the required safety and environmental standards. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety of vehicles on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct MOT tests on various vehicles in accordance with DVSA guidelines
- Inspect vehicles for any defects or issues that may affect their roadworthiness
- Identify and report any faults or potential problems to customers
- Carry out repairs or recommend necessary repairs to ensure compliance with MOT standards
- Carry out servicing and repairs to all makes and models.
Experience:
- Previous experience as an technician / MOT Tester is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for inspections and repairs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
- Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively
Skills:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using hand tools for inspections and repairs
- Familiarity with power tools used in automotive maintenance
