The Role: As a Geography teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students and foster a lifelong appreciation for Geography. Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging and interactive Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and ensure all learners are challenged and supported.
* Implementing effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support students in achieving their academic goals.
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed.
* Contributing to the development of the Geography curriculum, resources, and teaching materials in collaboration with department colleagues.
* Participating in extracurricular activities, field trips, and enrichment programs to enhance students' learning experiences and deepen their understanding of Geography.
* Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support students' holistic development and academic success.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in Geography or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience desirable.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
