Due to the recent success of our clients Fire Safety Consultancy Team's growth, our client is now in an exciting period of growth with a new opportunity for a fire Safety Consultant specialising in fire risk assessments and fire safety strategies and offering advice. The team forms part of an established multidisciplinary office and will see the continued development and expansion of our client's fire consultancy capabilities.

The successful candidate(s) will be experienced in carrying out fire risk assessments in a range of buildings and sectors, including commercial and residential sectors. Professional membership of a recognized body, such as the Institution of Fire Engineers, Institute of Fire Safety Managers, Chartered Association of Building Engineers, or Institute of Fire Prevention Officers, is also ideal.

Location of candidates is less important than the quality of the candidate; you can be based anywhere in the country, providing that you are willing to travel. You can work remotely, from one of our clients offices, or adopt a hybrid approach.

Our client’s fire consultancy works throughout the building lifecycle, from design to in-occupation services. Depending on your experience, you may also contribute to building design, construction services, and/or other fire consultancy services, such as providing fire safety training to clients, working on safety case reports, etc.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Carrying out fire risk assessments in a range of premises and sectors

* Assisting clients with compliance with the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022

* Carrying out reviews of Fire Safety Information as required by Regulation 38 of the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended)

* Assisting clients with compliance with the Higher Risk Buildings (Management of Safety Risks, etc.) Regulations 2023

* Assisting the client's fire consultancy team with the preparation of safety cases and safety case reports for clients

* (Depending on experience) Assisting with the preparation of fire strategy reports and floor plans

* Providing general fire safety consultancy advice and support to clients

* Providing fire safety training and other ad hoc services to support the fire consultancy delivery

Experience and Skills Required: To be successful in your application for the Fire Assessor position, you will need to be fully conversant with current fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and technical standards, as well as having a full understanding of current fire safety issues, trends, and best practices.

It is essential that you have completed a series of nationally recognized training courses and are listed on the National Listing of Fire Risk Assessors published by the Fire Sector Federation.

We anticipate that the Fire Risk Assessor role within our client will grow and develop; therefore, initial and ongoing training in areas where knowledge may be limited will be fully supported by our client.
