Overall Purpose of the Job:

As the Head of QHSE, you report directly to the Director of the Operational Excellence Office. Your primary responsibility is to provide strategic leadership and management of quality, health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental performance within the organization. You will also lead the QHSE Support Team, ensuring effective delivery of the organization's QHSE strategies, policies, and procedures.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

- Lead the QHSE Support team to provide dedicated QHSE resources, offering guidance and support to the business, supply partners, and clients.
- Develop, manage, and review the organization's Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015, 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
- Conduct risk analysis, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities for improvement within the IMS.
- Direct initiatives and best practices in QHSE management, aligning with the organization's core values and strategy.
- Conduct internal audits and compile performance reports for senior management.
- Host external auditor visits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct site inspections for FM contracts and projects, compiling health and safety reports.
- Provide mobilization support for health, safety, environmental, and quality matters.
- Develop and review QHSE policies, setting objectives and planning for implementation.
- Communicate effectively within QHSE Representatives Meetings and liaise with clients on QHSE matters.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and review environmental performance reports.
- Review quality complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor statutory compliance and communicate updates to the business.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within QHSE boundaries.
- Develop and implement QHSE training requirements across the business.
- Promote a positive culture for health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental matters.

Accountabilities:
- Directly accountable to the Director of the Operational Excellence Office.

b:
- Degree/HND level education.

Training
- NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent.
- IOSH (Graduate or Chartered Member).
- AIEMA (Associate or Practitioner Membership).
- Nebosh Fire (Desirable).
- ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor.
- CDM 2015, Confined Space, Work at Height, Asbestos Awareness, L8 ACoP.

Experience (Essential)
- Strategic management of Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
- Experience in FM built environments and statutory requirements.
- CDM requirements for projects.
- Strong IT and communication skills.

Experience (Desirable)
- Mechanical and electrical engineering experience in FM built environments and critical data centre facilities.

- Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
- A team player, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Circumstances
- Must be flexible in working pattern and willing to travel within the UK
