Job description
As part of our continuous growth Capital Maintenance is now looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter. You will be based in Central London. We are a company who specialise in the maintenance of commercial & residential properties.
Your main duty will include fitting timber fire doors to current code for regulation.
Full training can be given on the fitting requirements on each door system and all our our door sets are pre-machined, with some assembly required. You will be given a minimum of one door set a day for the length of each project.
There may be additional responsibilities and growth within the business for the right person.
The main duties include:
- Broken door closer
- Adjustment to doors
- General Carpentry
- Installation and hanging doors
- Procurement of materials and equipment to carry out works.
- Completion of work sheets via our mobile app
The successful candidate will have:
- A hardworking, reliable work ethic, flexible as overtime & OOH works may be required depending on client or job requirements.
- Previous fabric maintenance and building environments, ideally within commercial or residential sectors.
- A HSE understanding
- Full UK Driver’s License (not essential)
- Previous use of handheld technology / smartphone
- Take pride in doing everything you do to the highest standard
- A good communicator, who understands the importance of customer service.
- Competent working alone
Required:
- City and Guilds qualifications or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time (self-employed)
Salary: starting at £180 per day
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift, 8am-5pm
* Monday to Friday
Experience:
* Fire Door Fitting: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (favoured)
