We are looking to hire a Mechanical Project Manager to join a market-leading Oxfordshire-based main contractor. you will be involved in highlight projects across the historic county of Oxfordshire.

Main responsibilities will be:

1. Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop M&E design specifications, budgets, and schedules for construction projects.

2. M&E System Design: Overseeing the design, engineering, and specification of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical wiring, lighting, fire protection, and security systems, to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

3. Procurement and Material Management: Identifying M&E equipment, materials, and subcontractors needed for construction projects, preparing procurement documents, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and managing the procurement process to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implementing quality assurance and control measures to ensure that M&E systems and installations meet design specifications, industry standards, building codes, safety regulations, and client expectations, conducting inspections and audits as necessary.

5. Construction Supervision: Managing M&E subcontractors, technicians, and workers during the construction phase, overseeing installation activities, resolving technical issues and conflicts, and ensuring that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

6. Health and Safety Management: Promoting a culture of safety on construction sites by enforcing health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety measures, providing training, and addressing safety concerns and incidents promptly.

7. Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitoring M&E project costs, expenditures, and resource utilization, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing change orders, and taking corrective actions to control project budgets and maximize profitability.

8. Commissioning and Testing: Overseeing the commissioning, testing, and startup of M&E systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and integration with other building systems, coordinating with commissioning agents, vendors, and facility managers as needed.

9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of M&E designs, specifications, drawings, contracts, change orders, as-built drawings, and other project records, preparing progress reports, status updates, and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

10. Client Relations and Satisfaction: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly, and striving to exceed client expectations in terms of M&E performance and service delivery.

Overall, as Mechanical Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, design, implementation, and operation of mechanical and electrical systems for a wide range of projects, contributing to project efficiency, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
