Construction Site Manager

Alecto Recruitment is looking for an experienced Construction Site Manager to manage the build/upgrade of Biomethane Greenfield Projects and modification projects to existing operational facilities, ensuring they are delivered to SHE, cost, programme schedule, and quality targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all construction and commissioning activities, from the preparation phase to the performance testing, until the handover of the Site to the Operation & Maintenance team.
Get familiar with the project execution plan, schedule, scope of supply, contracts, budget, status of documentation, site conditions, applicable local regulations, restrictions, etc.
Create, if necessary, some project-specific procedures or organizational notes.
Organise the demobilisation of the Site and the transfer to the Operation and Maintenance team.
Responsible for the HSE performance of the Site and off-Site prefabrication facilities, in tight coordination with the HSE Advisor
Develop a safety culture during the site execution of the projects
Organise and lead daily coordination meetings with participation of all site stakeholder, to manage coactivity and ensure that project targets are achieved on time and in safe conditions
Organise mechanical completion walk-downs and administer the construction punch-list.
Lead team members assigned to the Site (e.g. commissioning engineers).
Engage and motivate construction and commissioning teams, internally and from contractors.

QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE

Not Essential: University degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
Experience leading construction activities of industrial projects (bioenergy, energy, chemicals, water/waste treatment) in an EPC or construction organisation, with at least three years based on Site.
Good understanding of engineering, construction, and commissioning processes.
Experience coordinating multicultural teams, with preferably at least one period living abroad.
HSE and QA/QC training or experience.
High degree of awareness and strictness on the application of HSE and quality rules.
Milestone-oriented, with a high capability to manage schedules and priorities.
Knowledge of management methodologies and tools.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
