About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse to work at the Major Trauma Centre within a highly reputable hospital based in North Bristol. The hospital is bright and modern and boasts the most state-of-the-art facilities. It is ideally situated in North Bristol and is within easy reach of public transport links, local shops and amenities. This role is for a Registered Nurse to join the Major Trauma team who are passionate about improving care for seriously injured patients. The hospital is well equipped with a helipad, major speciality for Neurosurgery, Burns, Plastics, Pelvic Surgery and Open Fractures. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to gain experience in a diverse and busy role.
 
You will be working as a Registered Nurse within the Major Trauma team and responsible for the following duties;

Organising and participating in the delivery of high standards of evidence-based nursing care
Variety of clinical skills including VAC therapy, Central line care, insertion of naso-gastric tube, collar care for spinal injuries, catheterisation, care of an epidural and more
Provide post-operative care
Ensuring provision of a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients, relatives, visitors and colleagues
Contributing towards the health promotion of patients by providing education, support, advice and referral is required
Who we're looking for

Be NMC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
At least 1 years UK experience in a major trauma setting is essential
Teaching and assessing course is essential
Excellent clinical skills including catheterisation, care of an epidural, ketamine infusions and patient controlled analgesia, application of skin traction
 Excellent communication skills
