Our client is a successful Alternative Education Provsion based in central Bristol. They have a proven track record of supporting young people with challenging backgrounds to become successful in life and their futures. Led by a consistent, experienced, pro-active and dedicated Headteacher, the team of staff have worked hard and with a progressive ethos which are the key reasons for their success. The new headteacher joining in September will build on previous successes and take the AEP to new heights.You will have the opportunity to work for a community interest company that has a social mission at its core and drives the way we undertake business.
The new headteacher will:
* Lead and motivate the school team to provide high quality learning and raise aspirations and achievements for young people.
* Support the development and delivery of learning and educational engagement with children and young people across the organisation
* Support the development of outreach education programmes
* Ensure that a trauma-recovery approach is at the heart of the school’s work with young people.

Students at this setting have often missed large parts of standard education so a focus on learning as well as social development will be a key part of this role. The staff team work hard to ensure they provide the best opportunities for their learners. but they know they can only achieve that through a strong collaborative team.

They have a brand new innovative curriculum, have updated their learning environments and have a policy of zero exclusions.
