Office Administrator (14 months Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join a reputable insurance business based in Plympton, Plymouth.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the team with specific responsibility for logging and maintaining accurate client data, responding to customer enquiries and processing timely invoices & receipts ensuring a proactive
and seamless customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
* Enter existing client details into new software system.
* Enter accounting details into new software system for each new payment received from clients and send receipts.
* Answer phone calls and emails from clients promptly and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member.
* Complete administrative tasks, such as filing paperwork and scanning documents into folders with accurate labelling.
* Schedule appointments and/or phone calls.
* Update the database regularly to ensure we have current customer information readily available.
* Take post to the Post Office.
Essential requirements:
* Must have excellent attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise.
* Ability to adapt to team needs.
Preferred:
* Experience in working to deadlines.
* Previous customer facing role.
* Experience in working with sensitive data.
* Previous employment within the insurance industry.
This is a fixed term contract - 3rd June 2024- 27th September 2025. There is potential for the role to be made permanent.
Workings hours 9.30 – 5pm with a 30 min break.
22 days holiday plus bank holidays
