You will be monitoring the quality of delivery and maintaining the awarding body requirements to ensure that the company maintains centre approvals, scheme approvals and direct claims status. This allows the company to certificate immediately upon learner achievement within the Skills division.

You will be Implementing robust quality arrangements and cycles across the business to manage and monitor the risk of financial clawback, quality of delivery, contractual requirements, maintaining an effective reputation within the sector and maintaining a minimum “Good” inspection grade within the Ofsted regime.

Primary Objectives:

To be responsible for the quality and compliance of all delivery of funded and non-funded provision within PET-Xi financial, quality, reputational and regulatory ensuring this leads to continuous improvement across the business and manages the level of risk.

Reporting to SLT and governors on all aspects of Quality and Compliance.

Overseeing the company wide quality process to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

To be responsible for ensuring that PET-Xi meets the requirements of the Awarding Bodies/Organisations.

To be responsible for ensuring PET-Xi works towards an ‘outstanding’ result in any Ofsted inspection.

To be responsible for ensuring PET-Xi meets all ESFA audit requirements whilst minimising any funding risks and maintaining less than a 5% error rate.

Responsibilities:

To ensure that PET-Xi is fully prepared for any Ofsted Inspections that may arise and is in a strong position to gain an overall rating of “Good” or ‘Outstanding’

To ensure the management of the annual Self-Assessment Report and bi-annual review, working with the Quality Manager and operational teams to maintain a consultative approach to report development.

To represent PET-Xi as an Ofsted nominee.

To develop and maintain quality improvement strategies which have a maximum impact on improvements across all divisions of the business

To analyse information gained from internal quality and audit activities to ensure early identification and mitigation of risks.

Reporting and maintaining the corporate risk register to the SLT and Governors.

To ensure that PET-Xi satisfies and exceeds the requirements of the Awarding Bodies and End Point Assessment Organisation’s (EPAOs) with which it works.

To develop and maintain efficient and effective quality systems which meet the requirements of external quality assurance and regulatory bodies.

To oversee the management of the internal quality assurance and audit cycles, ensuring clear targets are set and achieved of the quality requirements across the company, whilst identifying opportunities for personal growth and development.

To oversee the management and preparation for ALL internal and external funding provider financial audits, working with the compliance team to maintain effective controls and analysis to minimise risk to funding and clawback.

To widen the attainment of quality standard approvals.

Ensure systems are in place for effective monitoring, measuring, and reporting of health and safety, Safeguarding and GDPR issues to the SLT & Governors.

Reporting to SLT and governors on all aspects of Quality and Compliance.

To carry out any other ad hoc duties as required relating to quality and compliance.

Person Specification

General Qualities:

Strong understanding of the Ofsted requirements and the Education Inspection Framework

Experience of managing Awarding body and funding requirements

Experience of co-ordinating quality standards approval visits

Experience of managing staff

Experience of developing a Self-Assessment report

Ability to analyse information to enable the early identification and mitigation of risks

Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers/partners (internal and external)

Experience of working in partnership with employers and education and training stakeholders

Experience and knowledge of achieving successful audit outcomes and minimal clawback
