Maintenance Officer

Site: Lutterworth LE17 4XW £25000 - £27000 annual salary + 28 days paid holiday

The job of the Maintenance Officer is to ensure that the building and associated equipment is maintained in good working order. To conduct repairs where their skills allow and to work with Contractors when they are required to be on site.

In addition, they will be required to fabricate/build/install new site infrastructure, based on their skills and experience. They will be required to complete these tasks in accordance with accepted building standards and in a timely manner.

As a Maintenance Officer: we can offer you:

£25000 - £ 27000 annual salary (depending on experience and qualifications)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday – (Hours & Shifts TBA)

28 days holiday (All Bank Holidays worked unless booked as holiday)

Responsibilities

Performance of Regular scheduled tasks

* Fire Alarm test, Emergency Lighting test, Racking Inspections, Property Inspections, Sprinkler tests, Glass & Brittle Material Checks.

* Diarise/schedule tasks in Outlook Calendar and Maintenance Planner.

* Set Alarms as reminders.

* Conduct task and update Maintenance Planner accordingly.

* Log any issues with the Facilities Manager.

Working with Contractors

* Prior to arrival check with Facilities Manager that RAMS are in place.

* Meet contractor at reception at the correct time.

* Ensure they have signed in and completed the Contractor Health Questionnaire.

* Check that correct PPE is worn and in suitable condition.

* Provide details of site rules/instructions – including evacuation process.

* Accompany them to the area where work will be carried out.

* Provide contact information.

* Check over completed work.

* Escort contractor back to reception.

* Establish if any follow-up work is required.

* Communicate follow-up tasks to Facilities Manager.

Repairs

* Identify where repairs are required and report these to the Facilities Manager.

* Liaise with Warehouse Managers, Transport Managers and TPN to establish their issues.

* Ensure all required equipment is available to conduct repairs, including raw materials, MHE, tools for the job.

* Order tools and equipment from the required source – Screwfix, Amazon, Reward etc.

* Inform Facilities Manager of need to raise PO’s, Book Contractors etc.

* Agree timescales with the Facilities Manager / relevant Director.

Site Improvement Programmes (Upgrade of Facilities)

* Examples – Change of Transport Office, Drivers Room, Canteen,

* Ensure all required equipment is available, including raw materials, MHE, tools for the job.

* Order tools and equipment from the required source – Screwfix, Amazon, Reward etc.

* Inform Facilities Manager of need to raise PO’s, Book Contractors etc.

* Agree timescales with the Facilities Manager / relevant Director.

* Plan tasks on Maintenance planner, to include timescales and costs where known. (Including own time and associated cost). (To be completed by New Facilities Manager when in place)
