About the Job 

You will work in partnership with the HR Business Partners and engage with stakeholders to deliver and evaluate value-add learning and development support to employees, through delivering Capability interventions in line with our business strategy, people strategy, and learning methodology.   You will deliver and evaluate induction training in an effective and engaging way to enhance the learners experience to all new starters and to ensure they are ready for their roles.  Operating as the Capability expert, to support HR and business leaders to deliver Business Unit and Site Capability plans, projects, learning interventions and learning evaluation to enable the growth of our people and provide capable individuals and teams.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

Partner with HR Team and engage with business leaders to ensure value adding learning interventions are offered aligned to the organisational strategy and Business Unit and Site Capability Plans
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and consultants to meet the development needs of the business
Design, deliver and evaluate learning programmes at Colleague and Manager level aligned with organisational and team objectives
Deliver Group induction training 
Ensure the learner experiences is engaging and motivating
Deliver team building training when required
Assess training feedback and action accordingly
Support and deliver other training programmes as required
Collation of data and reporting 
Process training related administration (course registers, training records, evaluation data, Talent and Capability metrics)
Participate in Capability projects
Coordinate all training and development activities within budgetary constraints
Capitalise on external funding mechanisms and report direct and indirect financial impacts of learning interventions through robust evaluation
Look for latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory and technologies and utilise these for continuous improvement to the employee learning and development offer
Design, implements and embeds the train the trainer process to enable Subject Area Experts to deliver own learning within the organisation
To develop innovative and digital solutions to enhance the delivery of capability interventions
Develop content to Unipart standard and share across Unipart
Seek good practice across Unipart, share and update Unipart Way Online content and share success stories with internal Communications Team
Coach learners and Organisational Capability Champions/Leads as required

About You

Essential:

Worked in large scale operational environments
Knowledge and application of the full training cycle
Certificate in Training Practice (CIPD) or equivalent
Credible and engaging presenter
Proven facilitation skills
Adaptable and able to react quickly and effectively to changes and requests
Willingness to learn about new technology
Ability to work to targets and timescales
Able to design training programmes in a brain friendly manner
Credible and engaging training presenter
Proven facilitation skills, able to deliver with credibility at all levels
Coaching and mentoring skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong planning, organising and time management skills
Ability to influence at a senior management level
Self-motivated: able to work on own initiative whilst balancing the need to involve others for maximum effectiveness
IT literate (Advanced Level PowerPoint, Intermediate Word, Excel)
Competent in Learning Management Systems (ideally Moodle)
Project Management Skills
Desirable:

Fully CIPD qualified or equivalent
Relevant degree qualification
Coaching and mentoring qualification (ILM)
Worked in a large scale 3PL environments
Experience of site/divisions “startups”, new business integration and organisational change  
Understanding of lean principles
Knowledge and understanding of generic HR policies, procedures and practice
