The school is looking to take on a motivated SEND teaching assistant on a long-term basis starting after easter this year (15/04/2023). The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, whose ages range from 11– 18yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or Attention Deficit Disorder / ADD..
The SEMH teaching assistant / SEND TA will have:
SEMH teaching experience.
A good knowledge of the national curriculum.
The initiative, ability and desire to deliver fun and engaging lessons.
The ability to build good relationships with staff and pupils.
The ability to deal with challenging behaviour.
