About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with autism in Year 3 at a primary school in Doncaster. This full-time role requires commitment from Monday to Friday and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the child's educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 student with autism
Assist in implementing the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP)
Adapt teaching materials to meet the child's needs
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to monitor progress
Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all timesRequirements:
Previous experience working with children with autism is essential
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3) are desirable but not essential
