Production Operative
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £12 p/h – Overtime Available
Job Type: Temporary – ongoing
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday – 06.30/16.15.
365 People are currently working with a world leading provider of bespoke, high pressure gas containment solutions and services. Our client who is based in Sheffield is recruiting for multiple Production Operatives to join their team to keep up with current demand.
The ideal candidate will have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, mechanical and heavy manufacturing experience, and excellent communication skills. With 125 years of industry knowledge, they will provide full top of the range training for successful candidates to join their production team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating within the shot blasting and hydro testing production line.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ability to work various production machinery throughout the manufacturing process, including lathes, milling machines and saws.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings (both metric and imperial).
* To carry out general fabrication inclusive of burning/cutting/welding.
* To provide mechanical assistance on assembly/trailers.
* To assist in all other areas of production in accordance with operational requirements.
* Adheres to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory.
* Use lifting equipment to manipulate product to next operation and loading of machinery.
* Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Engineering Qualification NVQ Level 3
* Experience working within a heavy engineering environment
* Shot Blasting experience
* Overhead Crane experience
* FLT license
* Basic Machining
