The Recruitment Group is working with a full service design agency. Their client base is mainly B2B and covers engineering, manufacturing through to charities and IT.

Purpose of the New Business / Client Development Manager

This account management role is all about building opportunities and natural client relationships, rather than being number-driven and deadline-demanding. This is simply because our client believes in people, not numbers; and that mindset is what they accredit to their success as a competitive agency that works for brands across the globe.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in account management and will have a natural ability for relationship building, fostering strong partnerships both internally and externally. Primarily working as part of the wider team, you will also have the capability and passion to drive client projects on your own.

Main duties and responsibilities of a New Business / Client Development Manager

Building relationships with and becoming the direct contact for a portfolio of clients
Overseeing and supporting projects from inception to completion
Onboarding new clients and projects efficiently
Managing client relationships effectively, ensuring satisfaction, retention, repeat projects and brand loyalty
Staying up to date on industry developments and trends
Proactively networking and expanding connections to establish a growing name and presence both locally and nationally
Identifying potential client opportunities and offering solutions with an open and receptive approach
Being accountable for projects, with the strong ability to accurately scope work and deliver on time and on budget
Experience/knowledge requirements for a New Business / Client Development Manager

Confident and experienced in soft sales
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, agency experience desirable
Demonstrated success in a marketing setting
Solid project management expertise in budgeting, revenue forecasting, scheduling and building client relationships
Confidence in working alone as well as being collaborative; reporting into management or alongside other team members
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Natural ability for relationship building
A good work ethic
Creative and passionate about branding, design, motion and digital
An entrepreneurial spirit
