Project Engineer, Pontefract with some travel between sites, £50,000 - £55,000, (potential negotiation on salary for the right experience), pension, 8am – 4.30pm, 25 days holiday + BH

Our client is a hugely successful production company who have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer based at their Pontefract manufacturing site with some travel to other sites.

Part of a larger £multibillion company, they have grown organically and through acquisition to a staggering £90m turnover and this sets to continue.

This really is a truly unique role in terms of the diversity of projects and variety of machinery and the ability to make decisions and influence change. Our client are investors of people, and as a result, the role can be a progressive one, providing actual opportunities for progression, supported by ongoing training and education.

This role is an additional requirement for another Project Engineer is part of a staggered expansion of the team throughout 2024. The Project Engineer will be involved in the planning, development and execution of engineering capital projects as well as working with engineering maintenance teams to ensure best practice. The company is undergoing significant investment in capital equipment and process change, so this really is an exciting time for a Project Engineer to join.

Key accountabilities / responsibilities of the Project Engineer

* Assist in planning, design and execution of engineering project management

* Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including clients and contractors

* Maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports and technical specifications

* Providing technical support and guidance to team members

Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for the role of Project Engineer

* Skilled Engineer

* Experience working with automated machinery

* Experience of panel building is desirable but not essential

* Ability to meet deadlines

* Experience in fault finding, analysis and Lean Manufacturing Principles

* Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Process improvement experience

* A thirst to learn
