Sterilization Technician

Job Description
Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:   
Sterilizing, preparing, and organizing equipment and reagents into carts trays for use during sterile test sessions
Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
Cleaning of Controlled Testing Environments
Maintain bacteria-free work areas and proper clean room sterility by using aseptic procedures and following all department cleaning guidelines.
Keep accurate records of sterilization and supply inventory
Preparation of media and supplies needed for Technologists to perform testing in CTEs
Operate sterilization equipment (i.e., autoclaves) and sonicators
Preparing and delivering all necessary equipment and instruments for CTEs and testing and supply carts, and supplies.
Controlling the inventory, reordering supplies, and checking expiration dates.
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works under moderate degree of supervision
Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
Comply with departmental and company safety guidelines including proper use of PPE
