WG is currently seeking an Entry Level/Experienced Tax Associate to join our rapidly expanding Tax team. As a Tax Associate, you will have the chance to enhance your professional career by working with a diverse client base, gaining exposure to various industries, and receiving direct coaching and mentoring from our highly skilled tax team. This position will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Description
Prepare federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, S corps and partnerships, as well as estate/trust returns
Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure timely completion of engagements
Manage multiple engagements concurrently within established timelines and budgets
Conduct tax research and articulate results to clients and other team members to support tax positions
Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
Develop new client relationships and enhance current relationships by providing excellent client service
Participate in continuing education and professional development
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Actively working towards obtaining your CPA, EA, or JD license; current CPA, EA, or JD license is a plus
0-2 years of work experience, preferably with recent exposure to general income tax in a public accounting firm
Experience in Real Estate and/or International Tax is a plus
Ability to complete various assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Exceptional collaboration, communication, organization, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with GoSystem, Gofile Room, and CCH would be a plus.
