Job Description
Do you enjoy antiquing and thrifting? Do you love estate sales? Are you stellar at researching items? Do you resell as a side "gig"? If yes, The Consignors may be the perfect fit for you.
Summary: Responsible for researching and developing accurate descriptions of anything you might find in a household (jewelry, pottery, kitchenware, collectibles, art/sculpture, coins, furniture and much more) for upcoming auction catalogs. Should be knowledgeable of the identity and value of items and/or able to do the research.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Create catalog descriptions of items for upcoming auctions
Research to gather basic factual information items for descriptions, when needed
Use available tools to create quick and accurate catalogue descriptions of items
Processes incoming consignments accurately and efficiently, including:Unpacking large bins of items
Inspecting items for condition and/or quality
Assisting in lotting items together
Keeping items organized and labeled correctly
Item photography in our cataloging app (must have a smart phone)
Must be able to bend, push, carry, and lift boxes of items up to 50 pounds (with the assistance of another, if necessary)
Must be willing to do light cleaning when needed, to keep our warehouse tidy
Able to work our alternative pickup days every other Wednesday and Thursday between 9am & 5pm 
Be available when/if extra help is needed on auction pick up days
