We create, licence, manufacture, sell and provide services for technologies which:

•        Control and monitor high voltages and power (11 kV to 400 kV and up to 1000 MVA); and

•        Are fitted in electricity substations, on overhead power lines, and in control centres.

We call this Total Voltage Control.

This role is based 4 days a week in our offices in Swindon with 1 day working from home, if desired. This supports our mental wellbeing, creates stronger teams and helps us to share knowledge and experience and have fun and be happy.

Salary will be dependent on experience and the role.

Role Purpose

To support in all aspects of financial provision for the group of companies

As Financial Accountant your role will include:

Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly
Ensure robust financial process & procedures are in place and identifying opportunities for improvement
Ensure the Finance systems are compliant with internal Business Management Systems, best practice and current legislation
Support with bank management & banking/investment relationships
Maintain and sustain costing systems for the group companies
Ensure Sales Invoices are issued in a timely manner in accordance with customer contract deliverables
Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
Maintain group intercompany reconciliations
Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
Undertaking weekly and monthly financial analysis and reporting
Support the preparation of the monthly management accounts, annual budget, and statutory financial statements
Liaise with the company accountants to prepare year end statutory accounts
Provide cover for other team members in their absence
To be successful in the Financial Accountant role you will require:

Minimum Part Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, qualified by experience will be considered
Hands on experience of accounting packages and ERP systems
Have experience of an SME
Be approachable, a team player and have the ability to work beyond the confines of a traditional finance role
Experience with group consolidations, foreign currency transactions and/or implementation of new ERP systems, overseas markets/customs/export – would be an advantage
Able to be adaptable if/when required whilst maintaining a ‘Yes we can’ attitude.

The position is full time 37.5 per week, however part time with minimum of 30 hours per week will also be considered.
