What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Project Accountant in this role you will work closely with the project management teams to manage the financial forecasting and budgeting for the project portfolio.

This role sits within the FP&A team but will you will be happy working in a dual function.

* Creation of financial models with assumption and scenario analysis for initial project proposals to support strategic prioritisation, including time and cost allocation mechanisms

* Work with Project Sponsors and Project Managers to produce investment appraisal analysis for inclusion in project Business Cases, including benefits identification and realisation

* Provide advice and opinion on the viability of projects

* Contribute to the preparation of financial Project and Portfolio view reports, including those issued to Leadership team and the Board

* Work closely with the PMO team to analyse project cost variances and offer recommendations to address these, including time and cost allocation mechanism.

What we’re looking for:

* Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)

* Previous exposure to project appraisal processes

* Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels

* Commercially aware with the ability to continually challenge the business and the way that it operates

* Strong written communication skills with proven report writing abilities
