Are you a seasoned Data Engineer looking for a challenging opportunity in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology? We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of implementing end-to-end data engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing novel methodologies for creating performant, robust, and scalable data products and services.
- Ensuring datasets are appropriately annotated and made available in a FAIR compliant manner.
- Collaborating with data owners to facilitate timely and self-documenting data set availability.
- Maintaining detailed records and preparing accurate reports to effectively communicate approaches.
- Contributing to high-profile peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings by presenting novel aspects of data engineering.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or related computational field.
- Experience managing diverse biomedical data types.
- Proficiency in Python or R and other scripting languages.
- Strong background in relational databases, SQL, and Linux.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in driving project completion independently.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of biology and computational biology in an immunological context.
- Experience with no-SQL databases, knowledge graphs, and data visualization solutions.
- Proficiency in web application development.
