The client, a family-run business with over 60 years of experience, is looking for an ambitious Graduate Town Planner to join the Planning team in their Bristol office. They work on projects throughout the UK, restoring the conservation of historic and listed buildings. and cover residential, commercial, planning and construction, renewable energy, rural consultancy, infrastructure and many more sectors.
This role is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to gain valuable experience from sector-leading professionals and kick-start their career. The successful candidate will ideally have UK based work experience.

Responsible for supporting the team in the delivery of a wide range of project.
Assisting with planning applications and condition sign offs.
Participate in Weekly Planning Meetings, reporting to the Design & Planning Director and the rest of the team against projects you are involved in.
Meaningfully engaged in all work streams and an active member of the team to help you consolidate your technical skills and confidence as you build your career.Essential Criteria for the Assistant Town Planner
Degree or higher in relevant subject - ideally RTPI accredited
Previous consultancy experience, especially work focused on heritage.
Have a good knowledge of existing and changes to planning and other legislation that affect the potential for developing current and future sites.
The ability to work as part of a team and be a self-starter working on your own initiative.
Have strong research, analytical skills, and reporting skills.
