Engineering Team Leader

Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise the engineering team to ensure smooth operations and efficient maintenance of machinery and equipment.
* Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
* Provide technical guidance and support to team members in troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
* Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute maintenance schedules while minimizing disruption to production.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the engineering team.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a leadership role within the engineering department of a food manufacturing or similar industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
* Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team to achieve targets and objectives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Flexibility to work shifts and weekends when required.
* Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.
